Many instances of shootings have been reported in Kolkata recently. The Chief Minister is not very happy about the incident. On Saturday, she raps up Kolkata's Commissioner of Police Vineet Goyal over this.
Talking over the phone, Mamata angrily asked, "Should I now start searching for guns and bullets". She also instructed the CP to extend DGP's jurisdiction to safeguard borders. mayor Firhad hakim confirmed this development.
This comes days after a young man shot his lover and killed himself in a guest house in Kolkata's Lake Gardens area. Another such incident was reported from Lake Avenue under Tollygunge PS where a sweeper and his accomplices tried to rob an elderly couple. They even fired a shot while escaping.
